Well, at the end of the first day of showing, Carly and Sydney racked up quite a few ribbons. The ribbons that are hanging belong to both girls. Here they are with Sara, all looking as happy as could be! Time to go and get some dinner and start all over again on Sunday morning!

Sydney was quite the character in her second show! She was in the Ameoba Division and competed in 6 classes for that division. Her first class she did not place in due to going around the ring a second time - which none of us could figure out why since she said she knew her course! Go figure!!

Then she placed 5th, 5th, 1st, 2nd, 1st. What an amazing show for her! She finished as the overall RESERVE CHAMPION!!! We are amazed at how quickly she has progressed and hope she continues to master everything she needs to keep climinbing the ladder.

We have a new family who just moved to Charleston from Greenville. They have settled in very nicely at J&B and seem to be having a lot of fun with the girls!
Renee, Barry, Taylor and Danielle Grosse joined our J&B Family along with their horse Topper. Topper belongs to Danielle - Taylor will hopefully have a new horse shortly. She is working on one that she seems to have fallen in love with. Good Luck Taylor.
Topper should be joining us on our way home from the Clemson show, we can't wait!

We had a great little cookout on Saturday night, and the girls all had horses to ride..... it was hoppin with horses and laughter! Back to business on Tuesday though, as Jenn gets back to lessons after having a family reunion in Boston.

Huck and Steady are doing very well and keeping the girls happy with their amazing riding.

Today we bid "farewell" to PIPER. He had been a pasture boarder at J&B since April. He was sold today to his previous owner ... Avery! She came and picked him up and whisked him away to Hollywood, SC. where her new baby foal is being boarded.

I am sure Piper will love his new home. He will be pampered and spoiled and then hopefully pretty soon we will see him in the show ring once again.

I just wanted to say a great big THANK YOU to all of those who helped us get ready for the Sea Island Show at the end of May. Sydney was sooooo excited. We came so close to not being able to go, but thanks to a neighbor of mine who bought himself a new car, I was able to use his truck to pull the horse trailer.
Jenn ... thank you for pulling and taking all of the great pictures that you took, they are awesome. Thank you also for being there for each one of us, but especially for Sydney and Sara. You are the bomb!
Barry, thanks for your support and the food - grilling out is your JOB! Also, for working so hard to get the trailer hooked up when the truck was soooo very high!
Bailey for being ever so patient and as usual holding on to Badger! Also for being patient while you weren't competing --- next time though!
Carly for running around and seeing what classes they were on, and being patient even though you weren't competing. Yours is coming girl!

Grand Champion

Sydney won Grand Champion since she received blue ribbons in each one of her classes. She was not aware of the fact that she would receive a nice multi colored ribbon for her hard work. She was very pleased to say the least when I brought this one back from the show office.

I must say though how very proud of her I am - she is not one to gloat or show them off! She is very well grounded and these days, that is rather uncommon. Way to go Sydney - we are all VERY proud of you!

Hey everyone! Last night me, my mom, Jenn, Jimmy, Linda, Karen, and Julie all went to Denises wedding! It was a very nice Catholic Wedding at the Sacred Heart Church downtown. After that we went to the rehersal which was a blast! We all danced and ate really good food! Denise and Scott are so lucky to have eachother! Prior to the wedding, Denise came out to the barn to ride! Way to go Denise! Pictures are coming soon!

Hey Everyone!

I havent updated anything really on this blog in awhile. So here goes nothing. First off Haley has been coming out latley and is taking me out to the powerline (trail) on Sunday. I'm really glad because it will give me some time to do some conditioning for Badger. Carly and Sydney's lesson was cancelled Wed and Fri so I gave them one today and it was really fun! Bailey's been doing good with Sassey also! Denise is getting married in two weeks!!! She's coming over to my house tomorrow morning(sat) to make dessert for her practice dinner. Our barn family is planning on going to the Mullet Hall show June 5th to show as a barn for the first time! Since its a PSJ i'll be showing Jumpers on Badger, Bailey (maybe) on Sassey in flat classes, Haley in jumpers on her horse Lena, and Syds on J.P. in flat classes, and maybe NIcole were not sure since she doesnt do PSJ. ***Sara***

Hello!

Friday, Nicole left for a pinto show at Mullet Hall with Piper. They got 4 first places and a few other ribbons. So congrats to you and Piper! Saturday, Whit, Lee, and a few workers made a new pasture for more horses!! We can finally move the horses back to the two pastures we seeded. So now we have 9 pastures. Bailey has been jumping Sassy 2 foot and Carly and Sydney are also jumping! Denise has been progressing everytime she rides and is ready to start showing! The ducks have started laying eggs but they dont start sitting on them til the summer. So we have fun with the eggs. Everyone at J&B cant wait til summer! Were planning tons of BBQ's and manhunt and super fun games! Last Friday me, Sydney, Bailey, and Carly all played manhunt and we were in the woods and I found a skull of a opossum or armidillo. Then Sydney found all its bones. So thats the update on J&B! Later

Coming & Going

Hey everyone!

So many new things have happened in the past few days I haven't had time to write. For starters Nicole Agujia brought in a horse named Piper from a lady named Avery Syngrove (i think). He is a push button Hunter horse and is champion in the state of Vermont. He's perfect for Nicole, he does practically everything you ask him to! Avery has been giving her lessons for Nicole to get a feel of him. She has a lesson this Saturday with Dionna. Second, Bailey has been working really hard with Sassy to get her on the bit and bending and slowing her down. All her work paid off tonight (Thursday) in her lesson with Dionna! She rode in Draw Reins and jumped Sassy for the first time in a month! Sassy was really amazing by being collected and slow. She looked like a transformed horse and Dionna was so proud of Bailey! Brandy a new boarder came Tuesday and she brought her horse Maje. Some of you might of known her as Kellie's old horse. Brandy sold Maje today and is actually going to get Bodie!!! Nancy's horse. Me, my mom, and Bailey are going to pick him up tomorrow from M&M. Brandy is sooooooo excited. She is the nicest person too, she fits right in! Thunder is doing extremely well with his pulled tendon. Wheezy walks him everyday and he is barely limping anymore! My mom bought some wood so we could build a flower box for under a jump. Denise is doing extremely well on JP!! Time Does Fly!

Hey!

Sydney and Carly have been having lessons from Dionna and they are jumping! They are such good riders. We have a new boarder coming on Monday! My mom, me and Kellie are going to pick her up Monday. The ladies name is Brandy and she owns Mijah kellies old horse. She decided the place where she is at now is too far of a drive so she is gonna come and board at J&B! Bailey got a new saddle for her birthday. Jenn just got in town from California on a business trip. Welcome back Jenn! My dad came out to the barn last Saturday and seeded two pastures for us so we have grass. Today me and my mom went to the Ashley Hall show at Mullet Hall to watch. We saw Nancy there and had a nice chat. The newest additon to the family, Thunder. He pulled a tendon about 3 weeks ago doing something in the pasture but he's doing really well, he only has 2 months on stall rest opposed to 3 because he recovered alot. Finally! Some Official Changes!

Hey everyone! I dont really have alot to talk about on this blog because I write most of my adventures on mine and Badgers blog. But heres what I've got! So my mom is the Barn Manager of the barn and we have been feeding everynight except mondays because of my brothers commitment to a team. So we plan to do a bunch of changes to the barn for example: Power wash the barn, Paint the barn, make a pen for the pigs, finish painting the arena, hopefully making a concrete slab so that we can have a picnic area and stuff like that! So its pretty exciting! So the barn manager gets to decide EVERYTHING! Bailey is doing excellent with Sassy, they are looking so good! Carly and Sydney are improving everytime I see them, as always. Nicole is doing good on Tuff. Jenn got back from her trip. She went to The Grove in NC for 2 days and then to KY. Pretty soon she's going to buy a Toyota Tundra! She said it has lots of leg room in the back so that me and Bailey are comfortable when we go on long horse show trips!! ***Sara***

New People

Hey everyone! Well I dont have much time to say alot because i'm on my way to the barn then to a wedding shower then to babysitting! So we do have new people their names are Wheezy (Louise) and Nancy and they are just the nicest of ladies! They own an adorable 23 year old pony. Dionna who is the new trainer for Bailey, Carly, Sydney, and Nicole is actually Jenny's cousin and knows all the horses at the barn and how they tick, so thats a huge plus! Jenn just left today for vacation with Jimmy. I hope you have fun guys!!! In the meantime Linda will be picking up Osker, the horse Jenn was trialing. It just didnt work out. So i'm firing up the horse sites and looking again! We have decided to paint the barn red but dont have a set date yet. Post more soon! ***Sara***

Work Day.

Hey Everyone! Well last weekend we had a work day to paint the metal gurders since they are a rusty color and needed a new coat and color! Whit power washed it first and it looked 10 times better when he was done. Then we started painting this really cool gray color. We found out very quickly that its oil based paint and it was soooooooo sticky! We had to wear rubber gloves. Then when we were about halfway done the rubber gloves started to rip and we didnt have any more! So our hands got paint all over them and in our hair! We finished painting and it looks sooooo much better! Our next big project is painting the barn red. I've posted some pictures of a before and after pics of the metal gurders. Also a pic of buddy and Jody messing with one of the pigs. ***Sara***

Horse Shopping!!

Long time no write!! Well this past weekend me, Jenn, Denise, and Bailey all went horse shopping for Jenn!! First we went to Blythwood to see a horse that we didn't really like. All the horses we went to see the owners were too scared to ride the horse. So the first one Jenn got on and the lady told us that he was a dressage horse and jumped. So then jenn tries to get a flying change and the owner said he doesn't get them. Well think about this for a minute, he's a dressage horse but doesn't do flying changes? That's just weird. So I get on and get a flying change both directions. That shows what the owner really knows. Then we were off to Taylors, SC and that horse had impeccable ground manners but wasn't that great. Then we were back on the road to Orangeburg and this horse was suppose to be really good. But Jenn wanted an experienced jumper and he was very green. So no luck on Sunday. I get home and look for more horses for Jenn and 2 out of the 4 I sent her she just loves and were going to check them out on Sunday. ***Sara***

Quick Decision!

Well Nicole came today and just fell in love with Tuff! She did really well riding him. She's already moved in and part of our barn family! I also want to welcome the two new ladies who are moving in and joining our barn family at the end of the month!

So Much To Talk About!

Well i know that i havent updated in so long on this blog and that is because i really had nothing to talk about that was going on at the barn. But over the past few days i've gotton a ton to talk about. First of all my mom might become the official barn manager! She'll be the one that everyone goes to and she makes all the decisions, makes new changes to the barn, and organizes everything. It will be so cool when she does become barn manager.

Second is that before my mom becomes barn manager we have to make more changes to the barn to improve it so that boarders can come. So we have a workday set for a weekend in February to paint the Barn red and power wash the barn also. Then we are going to re-paint the irons along the pastures too.

Third, we have a new boarder coming in. Well actually 2 lady's who own 1 horse.
Then if everything works out with Tuff Nicole Aguga might come and take lessons on him and may eventually lease him!

So we have alot happening now! Stay tuned for more info on progress! ***Sara***

Trainer!

Hey everyone! Well I just got my laptop hooked up and I have to download all the pics onto this computer so i'll have pictures soon. We met the new trainer on Wednesday and she's really nice! She actually is alot like Jenn! In the humor and outgoing way! I think that Bailey, Carly, Sydney, and the other's that are thinking about using her as a trainer will just love her! Bailey is doing good on Sassy and is planning to show her in February, if they feel like their ready. Carly and Sydney are progressing rapidly and doing an amazing job! Gia is doing good with J.P, we think he needs a bigger bit. We think its pinching him when him and Gia jump. Rosies 3 month recovery is about to end! Her leg has recovered extremely well from her accident she had with the billy goat who is now gone. Pictures coming soon! :)))

New Change

Hello everyone! Well we have a huge change. Jenn really wants to concentrate on buying a horse and showing with me. So she wont have alot of time to train the girls. So Jenn found a wonderful new trainer to train all the lesson kids. The new trainer is going to come out on Wed to check out the place and for her and Jenn to go over things. So Jenn and I are going to go and try to find her a horse! So far she has a Tackbox and brushes! Hopefully she will have a horse by Febuary. We have lots of room at J&B now since Nancy took SeRobi and Bodie back to M&M since there's new management. Also Diane took Fiona back to M&M. We wish the best for you guys and we will miss you greatly! ***Sara***

Thanks Jenny and Whit for the new arena light! It is so helpful for us. The new light is really cool, its an orange color and lights up the arena really well! Were trying to figure out a date for our little barn christmas party. Unfortunatly we cant do it this weekent because Jenny is haveing her family over. We'll work it out though! I wanted to say a Happy Birthday to Jenn our trainer! Also a Congradulations to both Jenn's Boyfriend Jimmy and also Jenny Stutsman. Congrats to Jimmy for Graduating Med School with a 4.0! What an accomplishment! Congrats to Jenny Stutsman for being PREGNANT!!! We are all so excited for you! I hope you have a great 9 months!

We are getting arena lights at the end of the week! We are so excited that we can ride after 5:30. Lessons will go so much smoother not being in a rush! Were trying to put together a little barn party sometime in December. We'll have a little show for the little girls and a gift exchange at my house (sara).

Hello!!!

Hello Everyone! It's been so long since I have posted anything about J&B because the old blog didn't let me sign in for a month! I finally decided I had to start a new one!
Not much has happened since I posted last posted. Bailey is still trying to find a horse. We went to her Aunts friends house and we were gonna ride a few horses there. Well, she was walking us into the pasture and showing us the horses. The lady walked us up to this one horse and said this one's name is "Z". Me and Bailey looked at each other and were so shocked! When we rode at M&M there was a horse there named "Z" and he was the sweetest thing. Then he started being really, really mean and attacking people. He was pretty bad shape, and was sold finally. The lady said when she got him his skin was practically falling off and he was really skinny. He looks a bit better now. Bailey rode him and said he was the same "Z" nice horse that she rode before he got mean. She's gonna take him on trial this Friday! We are so excited to give him some real TLC - something that he really deserves.
